Comedic Actors

Show on the Road is pleased to be managing the Spring 2021 Season of Timeless Tales and is seeking comedic actors of all races and genders to perform in high-energy fairy tale retelling for young audiences.

Performances occur between the hours of 7:30am-4pm during weekdays and are local to the Tampa Bay Area. Actors are compensated for shows, rehearsals and receive mileage reimbursement for non-local performance sites.

Theatre Instructor

Show on the Road is Hiring an experienced Musical Theatre Instructor. This is a fun and exciting position that gives the instructor the opportunity to build their training repertoire and experience in group musical theatre lessons. Preference will be given for those who have experience directing and teaching musical theatre, voice and dance. This position will be a traveling one. This is exclusively an in-person position. 

BA suggested  in Musical Theatre, Voice or Music Education. The position is 20-25 hours a week Mon-Thurs between 2-7pm plus paid planning time. The instructor will travel between locations and is paid for time spent driving and also receive mileage reimbursement. Qualified teachers will be asked to lead a 20-minute sample class and participate in an interview.

Job requirements include:

  • Musical Theatre Instruction
  • Directing up to 10 Jr. Musicals
  • Dance Instruction & Choreography (desired but not required)
  • Use of Technology
  • Light Piano and/or sight reading skills
  • Driving up to 70 miles per day
  • Light lifting & cleaning
  • Student dismissal & arrival
  • Communication with main SOTR office

Voice / Music Instructor

Show on the Road is Hiring an experienced Voice/Music Instructor. This is a fun and exciting position that gives the instructor the opportunity to build their training repertoire and experience in both one-on-one and group voice and musical theatre lessons. Preference will be given for those who play piano and can also teach musical theatre and dance. This position will be an in-studio, with some online teaching included. This is primarily an in-person position

BA required in Musical Theatre, Voice or Music Education. The position is 25-30 hours a week Mon-Fri between 3-9pm. Qualified teachers will be asked to lead a 20-minute sample class and participate in an interview.

Job requirements include:

  • Vocal Instruction (in-person and online)
  • Musical Theatre Instruction
  • Directing 2 Jr. Musicals
  • Dance Instruction & choreography (desired but not required)
  • Use of technology
  • Light piano and/or sight reading skills
